THE REAL RIGHTS TOUR - DAY FOUR
WEST LEG: MADISON AT NIGHT, WI

Madison at night was every bit as lively and exciting as was the jam-packed day. It started with two radio interviews, this one above with "Progressive Radio," the nationally sindicated radio counterpart to the Madison-based news weekly "The Progressive"...	... and this one, at the studios of our long-time radio ally and community radio legend WORT of Madison. WORT will always find time for getting the CIW's story out to the people of Madison.
Then it was on to a beautiful dinner with the people of the Packer Community Learning Center and the first nighttime action of the 2006 tour. By the looks of this brave young lady from the Packer Townhouses, the turnout at the evening action left a little to be desired...	... But appearances can be deceiving! Once again, a great turnout by the community filled out the West Leg crew's numbers for yet another powerful protest.
This time our numbers were lifted by a strong showing by our newest allies, the PRF (the Playland Revolutionary Front)...	These experienced activists quickly saw the need for an injection of fresh chant rhythms to make the protest really bounce, and they took over the megaphone to give the protest the spirit it deserved.
Upon seeing the PRF among our numbers, the ubiquitous men in khakis buzzed around the restaurant with concern.	But being the seasoned pros they are, the PRF members were undeterred...
... meeting the men in khakis' spirit-draining corporate force with soul-sustaining commmunity force...	... and keeping the picketers going for an unforgettable night of action and fun. go back to the Daily Update page
