In Boston, the Days of Action took a decidedly Halloweenish tone…

… with some finely crafted masks…

… turning an otherwise innocuous letter delivery to the manager into a far more unsettling event…

Is it just us, or does this scene remind you of a certain cult movie hit from 1995?…

… the Hughes Brother’s classic “Dead Presidents”?

Anyway… not all the Days of Action events employed a Halloween theme, and most were nowhere near as unstettling (unless you’re a McDonald’s marketer taking aim at the youth demographic…). Take, for example, this beautiful picture sent to us by the 7th graders at St. Luke’s School in New York who sent 43 letters to McD’s CEO Jim Skinner on the 27th as part of their Amnesty International club activities…

Or this photo of one of the Campaign for Fair Food’s newest members…

… and his proud Dad…

… who braved the cold and joined this spirited protest outside a Long Island McDonalds.

Austin, Texas, of course, took part in the events…

… sending their message loud and clear with some excellent signage…

… and speaking of signage… How about this fine effort in Miami, a banner drop from the fifth floor of Burger King’s corporate headquarters parking lot, reminding the number two burger company that they’re not forgotten on these days of action.

Likewise, Chipotle was the focus of several actions in Colorado, including a very successful picket pictured here at Colorado University.

But in the end it still comes down to the clown… and in Chicago this clown had quite the story to tell…

… reaching McD’s customers one by one, passing on the awareness of the exploitation behind the food and the reasons why he, like hundreds of other people across the country, took this day to take action for Fair Food.
