… different because it came in the wake of last week’s big news that the Trader Joe’s and the CIW had signed a Fair Food Agreement!

That news raised spirits across the Fair Food movement, and perhaps nowhere more than here at home…

… where workers from Immokalee could dip, once again, into the deep wellspring of hope that has fueled the Campaign for Fair Food for more than a decade.

And throughout Southwest Florida, the news rang out, inspiring people from as far as Tampa to travel to Naples and be there for this very special action.

With CIW members providing the animo, the crowd walked the picket line for nearly two hours, making their message of Fair Food be heard loud and clear along Southwest Florida’s busiest thoroughfare. We will close the report with pictures from the day, to share the celebration, and spirit of unity, that moved us all one step closer to a future of human rights in Florida’s fields.
