This October 10-28 and November 15-23, the Modern-Day Slavery Museum will visit historic landmarks, places of worship and educational institutions as part of a two-part tour of the Southeastern United States to explore connections between past and present slavery, and offer solutions to the human rights crisis in the fields. With the upcoming semicentennial of Edward R. Murrow's hard-hitting documentary Harvest of Shame as a backdrop, the tours will also raise awareness about labor conditions in Publix's tomato supply chain. |
