Join the CIW and grassroots organizations from across the country to celebrate and learn from the McDonald’s victory, share skills and ideas, and take the Campaign for Fair Food to the next level!
Workshops and discussion topics to include: the McDonald’s Campaign victory analysis; grassroots community and worker organizing; corporate social responsibility; faith in action, art/music in the struggle, environmental justice, housing and gentrification and more! The day will culminate with a vibrant celebration featuring: Rev. Michael Livingston, President of the National Council of Churches; Rev. Clifton Kirkpatrick, Stated Clerk of the Presbyterian Church (USA); Stewart Acuff, Organizing Director AFL-CIO; Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (D-IL); Dolores Huerta, co-founder, United Farm Workers.
