Days Two and Three:

Back-to-back 15 mile days leave marchers' bodies sore, spirits soaring!

On Days Two and Three of the March for Rights, Respect, and Fair Food, marchers took a 30-mile bite out of the 200-mile total of the trek to Lakeland, beginning with a long stretch of largely empty wilderness followed by a day of city streets crowded with thousands of cars and pedestrians.

The marchers' joyous spirit, combined with great local press coverage, made for two days of warm and vitalizing interactions along the route with onlookers, giving the marchers the fuel they needed to carry them up the road to their ultimate destination at Publix corporate headquarters in Lakeland.
