Take part in the March for Rights,
Respect and Fair Food!
200 ways to get involved…
Preparing for the march
In march preparation, there is a large range of financial and supply needs. Some of these include:
- Financially sponsoring a meal for 100-200 marchers
- Sponsoring travel scholarships to enable others to attend
- Donating sturdy walking shoes
- Donating medical supplies
- Click here to donate now! Every contribution big or small helps push the Campaign for Fair Food forward.
Are you a member of a church or community organization in Southwest Florida or along the I-4 corridor looking to support the march? Check out our route and contact us about helping to sponsor a meal.
On the march
Most tasks and volunteer teams will still allow participants to march for most or all of the day. On the other hand, please, don't let marching deter you from joining us – we need a robust team of non-marching volunteers, too!
Throughout all fifteen days of the march, we will be seeking volunteers – who can join us for anything from a few hours to all two weeks – to join any one of the vital support teams to make this undertaking possible:
- Transportation team: drive a large support vehicle or shuttle marchers from march locations to lodging and community events;
- Meal team: help with set up and clean up meals for marchers and community;
- Snack & water team: help provide snacks and water at rest stops;
- Medical team: provide medical support for marchers;
- Animo team: lead chants and animate marchers with music;
- And many other tasks – not all so glamorous but all important!
Please contact Citlalic (citlalic (at) sfalliance.org, 757-775-1439) for more information on ways to support marchers!
