Below is a partial list of the events planned for the upcoming Subway Tour 2008. Check back in the coming days as plans for more presentations and actions are finalized and we post them online:

Tuesday, December 2: Miami, FL
10am: Join farmworkers from Immokalee and Miami-area allies for an action at Subways’ Independent Purchasing Cooperative, located at 9200 South Dadeland Blvd in Miami.

Wednesday, December 3: Chapel Hill, NC
12pm: Subway protest with farmworkers and local students and community members. At the Subway restaurant located at 132 E. Franklin St., Chapel Hill.

Thursday, December 4: Washington, DC & Baltimore, MD
11am to 12:30pm: Brownbag lunch & discussion with the CIW. Co-sponsored by the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Center for Human Rights. At the SEIU building, 1800 Massachusetts Ave NW, Room 2006

1pm: Subway protest with farmworkers and local labor, human rights, and community members. At the Subway restaurant located at 1605 Connecticut Ave NW.

Simultaneous events in Georgetown:

11:45am-12:45pm: Teach-in: “Farmworker Exploitation, Subway, and You.” At the ICC (Bunn Intercultural Center), Room 104, on the Georgetown University campus.

1pm: Protest with farmworkers and local students at the Subway restaurant located at 3275 M St NW.

Baltimore:

6pm: Dynamic presentation and discussion with United Workers and the CIW: “Low-wage workers and the struggle for human rights.” At the “2640” space, 2640 St. Paul St.

Immediately following presentation: Subway protest at 33rd & St. Paul.

Friday, December 5: Philadelphia, PA
11:30am-1:00pm: Subway protest with farmworkers and local community members. Meet at the Liberty Bell (Independence National Park; 6th and Market) at 11:30am, followed by a march to the Subway restaurant located at 714 Market St.

1:30pm: Community presentation & discussion with the CIW at the University of Pennsylvania, Irvine Auditorium (NW corner of 34th Street & Spruce Street), Room IRG07

Saturday, December 6: Boston, MA & Providence, RI
4pm: Protest Subway with farmworkers and local students and community members. At the Subway restaurant located at 745 Boylston St., Boston, MA.

5:30pm: Community presentation & discussion with the CIW. At the Lucy Parsons Center, 549 Columbus Ave.

Providence

TBA: Subway protest in Providence, RI with local students, immigrant and workers rights organizations, sustainable agriculture groups & more.

Sunday, December 7: New Haven, CT
2pm: Subway protest at 926 Chapel St (near Yale and New Haven Green).

Monday, December 8: New Haven/Milford, CT
12:30pm: Community presentation & discussion with CIW, at Yale Divinity School

3pm: Delegation of farmworkers & local community leaders to Subway headquarters, Milford, CT

7pm: Community presentation & discussion with CIW, at Yale Law School

Tuesday, December 9: New York City
7pm: Community presentation & discussion with CIW, location TBA

12pm: Subway protest
Gather at statue of Benito Juarez at Bryant Park (6th Ave between 41st and 42nd. March to Subway restaurant located at 512 Seventh Ave (btwn 37th and 38th).

7:30pm: Community presentation & discussion with CIW,  Church of the Holy Trinity, 316 E. 88th St.
